Custom Calendar Background - Privacy and Legal

Privacy

The Custom Calendar Background extension requires a few abilities:

• Run code on calendar.google.com: This is required to load settings, add the background image/styles, and settings button. The extension does not and will not read the contents of the page other than the image and the settings button.
• Access email address: The extension needs your email to connect your account to any themes you have purchased. It may also be used to contact you if there are problems or important updates. The extension does not and will not share this address with any third parties.
• Store data: This is required to store your preferences, and share them between the browsers you use. The extension only stores preferences from the options page, and no other extensions can read those.
• Run a background worker: This is used by the extension to talk between Google Calendar and the options page. The background page sends messages between the two, but does not actively execute anything itself.

Theme purchases

Purchasing a theme gives you the right to use the images as the background to your calendar, but not use it or distribute it for other purposes. The intellectual property rights of the images still belong to the original creator.

If at any time, the extension developers wish to stop running the extension, we will provide at least 6 months notice in advance.
